Panganiban-Chapman Family, circa 1920s-2000 and undated

Juliana Ordonio Panganiban (1912-2000) arrived in the United States in 1941 and served as a nanny for Lt. Charlie Morton's family until 1950. She lived near St. Mary's Church on Fourth Street in Washington, D.C. Juliana married Rudy Panganiban in 1944 and bought a house next to Riverdale Mansion in Riverdale, Maryland (1).

This series includes many photographs from the Panganiban family on the streets of Washington, D.C., at family parties and at community dances and events. This series was donated by Maria Panganiban Chapman on February 19, 2015. It also includes memorial essay about Juliana O. Panganiban, "A Journey through Life" (2000) and a copy of Rufo. C. Panganiban's naturalization application. The following individuals are pictured in these photographs: Mrs. Ramon Magsaysay, Juliana Ordona Panganiban, Kneedler Family, Rufo C. Panganiban, Maria Lena Panganiban Chapman, and Benny Puyot. This series is arranged with the physical photographs in their original order and the oversized photographs listed afterward, arranged alphabetically by title.
