Panganiban-Chapman Family, circa 1920s-2000 and undated
Juliana Ordonio Panganiban (1912-2000) arrived in the United States in 1941 and served as a nanny for Lt. Charlie Morton's family until 1950. She lived near St. Mary's Church on Fourth Street in Washington, D.C. Juliana married Rudy Panganiban in 1944 and bought a house next to Riverdale Mansion in Riverdale, Maryland (1).
This subseries includes many photographs from the Panganiban family on the streets of Washington, D.C., at family parties and at community dances and events. This subseries was donated by Maria Panganiban Chapman on February 19, 2015 with additional items added by members of the Panganiban family from 2017 to 2018. It also includes memorial essay about Juliana O. Panganiban, "A Journey through Life" (2000) and a copy of Rufo. C. Panganiban's naturalization application.
