Maryland Temperance Materials, 1848-1922

This series is divided into two folders -- temperance organization materials and temperance events and political materials. The temperance events and political materials folder contains advertisements for a temperance pic-nic and pro-temperance political candidates, as well as a postcard of a temperance rally and an advertisement for a pro-temperance book. The temperance organization folder contains constitutions of divisions of the Sons of Temperance and the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, as well as reports of local chapters of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, a card advertising the Cadets of Temperance, and a letter from the Home Defenders Association for a Dry Baltimore. The arrangement is alphabetical by type of material, events and political or organizational, and chronological within each type.
