This series consists primarily of materials related to Herring's biography Djuna: the Life and Work of Djuna Barnes, including reviews, dust jacket and paperback cover designs, letters to editors of print publications, and publicity and event materials. It also includes reviews of Barnes' Collected Poems: With Notes Towards the Memoirs and Collected Stories of Djuna Barnes, as well as a printout of Herring's biographical entry for Barnes in American National Biography.
