Affiliated Unions, 1883, 1935-1963

This series consists of newspaper clippings and photographs. All items are FRAGILE. The scrapbook entitled "Journeyman Tailors' Union of America" contains photographs of the officers and the union office as well as the union label and seal. This union was affiliated with the AFL but its charter was revoked in 1938.

"Labor News Clippings, March 1935 to September 1936" consists of newspaper articles on the United Rubber Workers (URW) strike in Alabama. "Labor News Clippings, September 1937 concentrates on labor relations in the South.

"November 22, 1963" was prepared by the International Labor Press Association. It is a scrapbook of clippings from the AFL-CIO's and affiliated unions' publications which express their collective grief over the death of President John F. Kennedy.
