Membership Ledgers, 1887-1919

This series consists of 24 volumes that record monthly records of per capita tax levies on AFL affiliates, including national and international unions, state and local central bodies, federal labor unions and directly affiliated locals. Some charter, merger, and suspension information is also contained in these volumes. Volumes 56 and 57, though covering the same years and organizations, are not identical. Volume 79 is labeled "Last Ledger used, see card system." however no known card system exists that we know of.
