Correspondence, 1909-1952
Series 1 is contained in nine document cases. The contents of the letters range from personal to administrative; there are memos and telegrams scattered throughout. The earliest files contain some correspondence of Edwin Perry, Green's predecessor as United Mineworkers of America (UMWA) secretary-treasurer.
Note: the researcher should consult both the container synopsis that follows and the container synopsis in the Ohio microfilm inventory; while the two synopses generally coincide, items mentioned in one may not be mentioned in the other.
