This series contains clippings, press releases, pamphlets and other printed materials about Richard Nixon and his political career. Dating from 1946 to 1979, but falling mainly in the period 1968-1974, these materials document many aspects of Nixon's career and American politics in general. It is not clear what use COPE made of such sources, but the survival of these records, while other similar collections disappeared, indicates COPE's interest in Nixon, particularly after his election to the presidency and subsequent resignation.
