Disputes, Mergers, Internal Abuses, 1944-1960
The provenance of this series is unclear. Presumably, George Meany maintained files on specific types of federation problems of a jurisdictional, organizational, or ethical nature. A section of particular note is in internal abuses, Box 48, Folder 6, "AFL Executive Council Committee" which was an early group created in the effort to weed out corruption in the AFL.
