Sub-series 2 contains records of discussions among unions associated with the airline industry concerning possible mergers, jurisdictional disputes, and affiliation with the AFL or the AFL-CIO. Dating from 1951 to 1961, the series offers a view into a rapidly growing transportation industry and the difficulties unions and workers faced at a time when the two major union federations were also working towards merging.
