Serials, 1842-1977

This series contains Porter's collection of serials. Many contain Porter's works, often in their first appearance, or articles about Porter; others are publications of her literary associates or things she collected and enjoyed. Journal types include literary, art, political, news, home, and fashion. Some articles in the journals also appear in Series VI: Clippings but are retained here to preserve context. Porter often annotated the covers to indicate which article interested her. She also added extensive annotations to some, particularly her own work or articles about her, to indicate possible revisions, her opinion, or factual errors she detected.

Materials are arranged alphabetically by title, then chronologically.
