Photographs, circa 1860s-1978 and undated
This series consists of 1,870 black and white and color photographs that Porter took or collected during her lifetime. Subjects include Porter, her family, friends, and professional associates. Some of the photographs of Porter were taken by well-known photographers, including Manuel Alvarez Bravo and George Platt Lynes. There are also photographs of her grave taken by her nephew Paul Porter, Jr., and of items in the Katherine Anne Porter papers made for researchers.
