3-2-1 Contact, 1975-1989

This series documents 3-2-1 Contact, the third program series produced by CTW for children, based on a curriculum of science education. First proposed in early 1977, the development initially followed much the same pattern as that for the earlier children's programs. Several producers and many writers were involved in working through the material. In the end the series was produced by a staff which had not been involved in the early development. A thirteen week season on public television aired beginning in January 1980. A second season was produced in 1983 and in a combination of new production and repeat broadcasts the series aired until October 1992.
