This series includes memos regarding the creation of CTW Productions, Inc., its budget and an early document describing its procedures.In January 1974, the Children's Television Workshop (CTW) announced the creation of CTW Productions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CTW intended to produce commercial television programs and feature films for family audiences. CTW Productions' president was Thomas M.C. Johnson and its vice president was Thomas Sternberg. Its board of trustees included: Joan Ganz Cooney, Lloyd Morrisett, Thomas P. Kennedy, Richard C. Steadman, Eddie N. Williams and Thomas N.C. Johnston.

This series begins with information on the formation and early activities of CTW Productions, followed by files relating to CTW's general investigation into film production and a report on public television by Helen Britton. The remaining files are arranged alphabetically by project title and then chronologically. The larger projects are arranged by topic and then chronologically.
