Production Files, 1967-1994
This series contains files relating to the Vice President for Production and the Office of the Executive Producer, as well as unsolicited materials received by the two offices. David Connell, Vice President for Production, joined the Children's Television Workshop (CTW) at its inception in 1968. He was the original executive producer of both Sesame Street and The Electric Company. Executive producer Samuel Gibbon came to CTW from Captain Kangaroo,... where he was an associate producer and writer before the show's producer, Robert Keeshan Associates, promoted him to director of education and publishing.
This series is arranged into the following three subseries: Files of the Vice President for Production David Connell; Files of the Executive Producer Samuel Gibbon; and Unsolicited Materials.
