Planning and Production, 1968-1985 and undated
This subseries contains general materials associated with the planning and production of CTW's Sesame Street. This program was unique in that program production was based on a curriculum of stated goals in preschool education, and the CTW staff included from the outset production personnel and professional educational researchers. Interaction between the research and production staffs quickly became a central activity of the organization and is documented in this subseries. Also included are materials from an initial curriculum planning for Sesame Street began with a series of seminars in the summer of 1968, each of which dealt with a curricular area important to the preschool child.
These materials are arranged roughly chronologically according to the production season.
