Scripts, 1971-1977
This subseries consists of script files for all but 30 of the 780 The Electric Company programs. Each file contains the writer's assignment and curriculum sheet, draft scripts, script rundown and revision memos and the final air version of the program. The early program files frequently contain other production material such as writers' notes, production sketches, and miscellaneous studio information. The last 260 scripts in this sequence were especially designed to be rerun for as long as the program was wanted by PBS stations. These rerun programs were designated as Year "A" and Year "B," and were alternated when the series went into rerun. Year "A" is scripts 521-650; Year "B" is scripts 651-780. Year B scripts are so labelled, but Year A ones are not.
