Proposals and Administrative Files, 1971-1978 and undated

Subseries 1 contains a set of proposals for the project, both within CTW and to potential sources of funding, as well as the administrative files of CTW President Joan Ganz Cooney, Executive Producer David Connell, Director of Development Pauline Brooks, Ron Weaver, Associate Producer Robert Spitzer, Supervising Producer Gareth Davies and Producer John Prizer. The proposals are arranged chronologically.

Cooney's files are the most extensive of the administrative files: they cover the project from its earliest development through its funding, scripting, production, promotion and ratings. Connell's files cover only the early phases of the project, ending in 1973. Brooks' files focus on the program's funding, but also include information on the Advisory Board and the program's budget, promotion and ratings. Weaver's files deal with the program's budget and production schedules. The files of Spitzer, Davies and Prizer contain information relating to CBS. All administrative files are arranged by creator and then by subject.
