This series contains biographical notes, catalogs, correspondence, notices, newspaper clippings, and transcriptions regarding Lafayette family members, collections, and sales of Lafayette items, as well as a school award and commemorative stamps. These items may have been written and/or collected by Edmond de Lafayette (grandson) and/or later family members or researchers, including François Busny. Arrangement is alphabetical by correspondent or subject and then chronological. Individuals whose identities could not be determined are described as "unknown." When it has been possible to determine the relationship of an individual to the marquis de Lafayette, it is noted in parentheses following the individual's name.
