Oral History Recordings, 1980-1983
This series consists of oral history recordings on cassette tapes from the NEHC oral history project conducted between 1981 and 1985. The interviews reached women in 37 states ranging from ages 27 to 100. The interviews were designed to ask women about specific aspects of homemaking as well as their participation in the NEHC and local homemaking clubs. Selected excerpts from these interviews were later organized into Voices of American Homemakers. The tapes are listed at the folder level by state; individual interviews are listed at the item level beginning with the interviewee followed by the interviewer. The series is arranged alphabetically by state and then by last name of each interviewee.
