Research for Type Foundries of America and Their Catalogues, 1883, 1966-1978 and undated

This series includes research notes, articles, and correspondence Annenberg amassed while writing his book Type Foundries of America and Their Catalogues. At the beginning of the series, there are five folders arranged in the following order: Catalog cards; Genesis; Key to collections, introduction and acknowledgments; Research notes; and Typographic Library, Columbia University. These folders contain general information about the book or history about the printing industry. The remaining folders are arranged alphabetically by type foundry name or subject. Folder headings include the names of individuals whose correspondence is filed within subject files.
