Photographs, circa 1920-1930s and undated
This series contains photographs and photographic copies of artwork published in Djuna. The photographs have been divided into four sections: Places, People, Art, and Illustrations for Field's Biography. Within each section, photographs are arranged roughly chronologically. An item-level description of this series is available in the box inventory, with item numbers listed for images that exist in the Papers of Djuna Barnes. Significant persons represented in this series include Margaret Anderson, Djuna Barnes, Natalie Clifford Barney, Emily Coleman, Marcel Duchamp, Charles Henri Ford, Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, Peggy Guggenheim, John Coleman-Holmes, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Alice Rohrer, Carl Van Vechten, Antonia White, and Thelma Wood. Significant known photographers include Berenice Abbott and Man Ray.
