Publishing and Editing, 1956-1963

The bulk of this subseries consists of correspondence between the various persons responsible for the editing of the journals Tidewater News, Copeia, and Chesapeake Science. Correspondence between Mansueti and authors seeking publication in those journals is also extensive, as is the correspondence between Mansueti and reviewers of articles. In addition, this subseries includes annual lists of publications by the Maryland Department of Education and Research and project proposals for the Maryland Tidewater News. Most of the documentation relates to Mansueti's positions as managing editor of Chesapeake Science and ichthyological editor of Copeia. Materials also address the topics of reprints, journal abstracts, and defining editorial duties and procedures for manuscripts. These files have been arranged alphabetically by publication and by topic.
