Lamping Family Financials, 1888-1895
This series contains correspondence regarding the financial accounts of the Lamping siblings. All the letters in the series were written to [William] Clay, who appears to have been Frank's brother-in-law and possibly his accountant. Frank Lamping is the most dominant correspondent in this series. R.H. Phipps and William R. Martin, are also featured correspondents in this series. Topics include account balances, money advances, family visits and the death and estate of a person named Cola. R.H. Phipps' letter to William Clay (September 6, 1888) discusses the Starr family plot in Green Mount Cemetery; additional materials on this topic are located in Series 3. Many of the letters are written on the stationary of F.W. Felgner and Sons Tobacco Works in Baltimore. Series 2 is arranged chronologically.
