Biographical / Historical

Kenneth Colton, (Feburary 3,1913-) was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1913. He was in Japan for almost all of the occupation. As a research analyst and intelligence specialist, Colton’s work focused on Japan’s political parties. After his work during the occupation, he went on to be a professor at several universities in Japan and the United States. He has a collection in the Prange Collection called the Kenneth E. Colton Papers which is made up of his documents from the occupation.
