Biographical / Historical

Robert Mills Donihi (May 18, 1915 - July 28, 2006) was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. He practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1945, at the invitation of Attorney General Clark, he went to Washington, DC, where he was hired by the Justice and War Departments to serve as an assistant U.S. civilian prosecutor at the Internmational Military Tribunal for the Far East (IMTFE). In December 1946, after completing his work at the IMTFE, he became a Chief Trial Attorney prosecuting and defending cases before the U.S. War Crimes Tribunals at the Dachau Concentration Camp.
