Biographical / Historical
Corwin D. Edwards (November 1, 1901 - April 21, 1979) was born in Nevada, Missouri. He earned his doctorate in economics at Cornell University. After various jobs in the field, including teaching, Edwards became the head of the Mission on Japanese Combines, a State-War-Navy joint mission, in 1946. Once he returned to the United States, Edwards continued to hold government jobs, including being an advisor to the U.S. delegation to the United Nations. He passed away at age 78 in Texas.
