Biographical / Historical
Roderick Gillies (1903 - )was born in Nakhom, Lom Pom, Thailand and moved to the United States in 1919. He grew up in North Carolina and Ohio and moved to Washington D.C. He recieved his law degree at Columbus University in 1939. From 1942-1947, Gillies worked with the Anti-Trust and Cartels Division in Tokyo. He worked with the Office of Price Administration which set prices for goods and services in occupied Japan.
