Biographical / Historical
Herbert Greer (1921 - 2007) was born and raised in Ohio, eventually going to Connecticut to study law at Yale University. He joined the Army in 1940. When the war began, Greer was a judge advocate, where he was in charge of overseeing the courts n the United States. After the war, Greer was still a judge advocate, but was assigned to Japan with the 24th Division in 1947.
