This series contains articles Barton personally wrote between 1945 and 1992 and were published under his name, Jiří Veltruský until 1948, and Paul Barton from then until his death. These articles include those written while he was a part of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions. Topics of note include trade unions in the USSR and developing countries, the Soviet worker, and human rights.
