This photograph album includes 348 photographs dating from the years 1948 - 1953 that primarily document the family life of Julius and Bea Bassin and their two sons, Arthur and Jay Nelson, in Washington Heights, a U.S. Armed Forces housing complex located in Shibuya, Tokyo. Julius Bassin was Chief of the Law Division of GHQ/SCAP from 1946 - 1952.
