IUMSWA General Executive Board, 1943-1968

This series includes agendas, correspondence, financial reports, motions and resolutions, and subcommittee files. It documents Pettis' role as a member of the Industrial Union of Marine and Shipbuilding Workers of America's (IUMSWA) General Executive Board from his election to the Board through his presidency. There is a significant amount of material on expenses accrued by different union departments and the pension and insurance of members of the union staff and General Executive Board. This series also documents types of cases that could be appealed through the General Executive Board.
