Boards, Committees, and Conferences, 1945-1955

This series includes agendas, clippings, minutes, and proceedings from the various committees and boards on which Pettis served, including the Shipbuilding Stabilization Board and the Wage Stabilization Board. There are also materials documenting Pettis' role at the Industrial Union of Marine and Shipbuilding Workers of America's (IUMSWA) various national conferences, in particular the files of the National Shipbuilding Conference's working committee. The bulk of this series consists of annotated agendas and proceedings showing the procedures for establishing policies within the IUMSWA and the shipbuilding community.
