Campaigns, 1962-1983
This series consists of ten subseries with files documenting Lawrence Joseph Hogan’s campaigns for public office in the House of Representatives, the Senate, as Governor of Maryland, and as Prince George’s County Executive. Represented among the materials are documents related to the campaigns of his son, Lawrence “Larry” Hogan, Jr., and John Burcham, Jr., as they ran for public office. In addition, this series includes documents related to Hogan’s work as a member of the Republican National Committee and as a Delegate for the Republican National Convention, covering various national, state, and local elections from 1962 to 1982.
Materials in the series include administrative files related to campaign organization by Larry Hogan (Sr.) for Congress Committee, campaign literature, correspondence with constituents and volunteers, election district maps, financial and fundraising files, newspaper clippings, political mailings, press releases, audiovisual material, and memorabilia.
