Administrative Files, 1969-1975

This subseries contains files related to the administrative organization of Hogan’s offices and files while he served as Representative for Maryland’s 5th District in the House of Representatives (1969-1975). It includes lists of various addresses, organizations, and members, as well as copies of standard reply forms and letters used to respond to constituent letters, guestbooks, a master file index, and summary case worksheets that list the actions taken on various cases in the District of Columbia by Hogan’s administration.

Materials include correspondence, memos, receipts, meeting schedules, trip itineraries, lists, memorabilia, photographs, and audiovisual materials.

Some of the people who worked in Hogan’s administration and who are documented in the subseries include: Marian Barb, Susan “Sue” Berg, Dixie Barger, Pete Butler, Del Malkie, Ilona Modly (later Mrs. Hogan), James “Jim” Threatte, and Rosita “Zita” Fernandes.

Arrangement

This subseries is organized alphabetically. For the folders under “Lists,” the word was added as a prefix on the Finding Aid to group the similar folders together. On the physical folders themselves, they will have the number 600 to indicate they are “List” folders following the original 1972 numbering classification Hogan’s administration used to organize his files. See the collection processing note for further details.
