This subseries contains files related to the White House, President Richard M. Nixon, and the various Executive Office policies and programs that affected Hogan’s constituents during his time as Representative for Maryland’s 5th District in the House of Representatives (1969-1975). There are documents related to the Bureau of the Budget (former name of the Office of Management and Budget), the Cost of Living Council (part of the Economic Stabilization Act of 1970), the National Council on Indian Opportunity (1968-1974), the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) (renamed the Community Services Administration in 1975) and Office of Emergency Planning (OEP) (formerly the Office of Emergency Preparedness and later abolished in 1973). Topics include children and youths, discrimination, environment, nuclear power, unemployment, wages, rent increases, and Native Americans.

Materials include correspondence, reports, requests, speeches, White House press releases, and State of the Union addresses.
