Black Terps Matter is a grassroots anti-racist communal coalition that aims to dismantle all forms and constructs of systemic racism and oppression at the University of Maryland. It was founded in August 2020. This collection includes group t-shirts, hats, and buttons, as well as fabric masks worn by organization members and posters made for demonstrations between 2020-2022.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection was transferred to University of Maryland Libraries by Saba Tshibaka on behalf of Black Terps Matter on February 16, 2022.

Processing Information

These materials were received by the University of Maryland Libraries in 2022. Upon arrival, materials were re-housed into two archival quality boxes and later consolidated into one oversize archival quality box.
