Palauan house with board walls and child standing in doorway, March 14, 1948
Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Palauan house, indigenous architecture but with boards instead of wickerwork walls. This does have the roof thatched with pandanus, the old house style and the old-style stone courtyard under which the family dead were once buried. This is in the village of Ngebuked."
