Warren Rhys Evans, graduated from the University of Maryland in 1936 with a B.S. in Eductation. Evans, a track star at the University of Maryland, also served as a lieutenant in the R.O.T.C. and as president of the Intramural Athletic Association. This collection contains newspaper clippings, photographs, and sports schedules from Evans' time as a student-athlete and materials related to his 50th anniversary reunion, as well as a leather wall hanging with the university seal and his name and signatures of classmates Geary Eppley, future Dean of Men, and Charlie Keller, who went on to play major league baseball for the New York Yankees.
