Collection of theses, spanning from 1902 to 1948, written to fulfill requirements for a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in engineering at the Maryland Agricultural College (pre-1920) and the University of Maryland. Topics include building, bridge, road, and railroad construction, electrical systems, concrete and building materials, engineering education, water and sewer systems, traffic control, mechanics and machinery, real estate, and air travel. Many of the theses relate to local buildings, towns, or sites on campus and in places such as College Park, Hyattsville, Silver Spring, Bladensburg, Mt. Rainier, Frederick, Baltimore, Arlington, and Washington, DC.
