Maryland Library Association records

The records of the Maryland Library Association span the period 1923 to 2023. The bulk of the material dates between 1970 and 2022. The collection consists of minutes; correspondence; publications; committee files; conference proceedings; and surveys. Major topics represented include National Library Week; educational television; the quality of library service; and censorship.

This series consists of minutes of the Executive Board and Annual Meetings, as well as an index to the 1973-1974 Executive Board meeting minutes. Related materials often accompany the meeting minutes. Executive Board and Annual Business meetings alternated month to month with Steering and Budget Committee meetings and were often inter-related. Steering and Budget Committee minutes are located in Series II.

Arrangement is alphabetical by type of meeting and then chronologically within each grouping.
