The United States Marine Band is America's oldest continuously active professional music organization and hosts more than 500 annual public performances. This collection consists of transcription discs from 1948-1949 of the Naval Air Reserve Show, the Harry James Show, the Eddy Duchin Show, Treasury Department Savings Bonds, and Here's to Veterans.
This collection is open to the public and must be used in the Special Collections reading room. Researchers must register and agree to copyright and privacy laws before using this collection.

This collection was donated to the University of Maryland Libraries on September 9, 2016 by Sergeant Jane A. Cross, Chief Librarian of the "President's Own" United States Marine Band Library. This collection was transferred from the Special Collections in the Performing Arts (SCPA) library to Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) on June 14, 2018.
The processing archivist arranged the transcription discs by date. The discs were placed in archival sleeves and rehoused in phonograph record storage boxes.
