Nazaret "Chic" Cherkezian (1925-1996) joined the staff of National Educational Television (NET) in 1959 as director of public information. From 1963 to 1970, he served as executive producer for NET's bi-weekly, one-hour program News in Perspective, a co-production with The New York Times.
