Barry Gossett, a major supporter of University of Maryland athletics, has traveled with the football team and attended many home and away games. Gossett is a former chairman of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation and current chairman of the University System of Maryland Foundation. This collection spans from 1998 to 2009 and includes personal and team itineraries, invitations to athletic events, information about the football and men's basketball teams, and news clippings and correspondence relating to Maryland athletics.

Several hundred football and basketball programs and rosters (dating from 1997 to 2009) were removed to the University Publications collection. Thirty eight posters were removed to the Posters and Broadsides collection. One envelope of ticket stubs and one of parking/game passes were also removed to the Ticket Stub collection.
