Blotters designed by Dwiggins for the Abbey Press and Gordon-Taylor, Inc. printers, Cambridge, Mass. a) Sent to Mr. Paul A. Bennett of the Mergenthaler Linotype Co. (1937?). Blotters are in the original envelope, as mailed to Mr. Bennett. Done in vibrant purple and maroon to show how printer uses color. b) Examples of two blotters sent by Dwiggins to Mr. Bennett; in original envelope (1937?). Also contains two pages of calendars designed by Dwiggins. Meant to show that "words still have to be read", as printed on folded green sheet. These are advertisements for printers
