Professional Materials, 1830-1995 and undated
This series is comprised of professional materials related to Marcia Herndon’s time as an educator and researcher. Materials are related to her participation in the Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM), research projects undertaken throughout her career, editorial participation on Universe of Music, and grant information. Also included are educational materials, which consist of syllabi, lecture notes and readings, and graded student materials, and are broken in to subseries by institution.

The collection is open for research use. Materials from this collection must be used in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library's Irving and Margery Morgan Lowens Special Collections Room during SCPA’s operating hours. Please contact the curator for an appointment or if you have questions related to digital access of the materials. Some audio recordings in the Audio/Visual series may be restricted.
