Capitol Crisis - Issue 4, March 1981
The fourth issue of Capitol Crisis, an Arlington, VA. based fanzine that was created by Xyra Harper. Capitol Crisis focused on the underground punk culture in the Washington, D.C. area in the early 1980s. This issue centers around an interview with Black Market Baby, a notable band in the development of Washington, D.C. punk music culture. It also includes an open letter from several younger punk musicians, such as Ian MacKaye, Henry Garfield (soon... to change his last name to Rollins), John Stabb, and Alec MacKaye. The letter is critical of Harper's coverage of younger punks and their bands, like Minor Threat, State of Alert, and Youth Brigade.
