Discords, July/August 1981

The July/August 1981 issue of Discords, a tabloid fanzine that focused on the punk and underground music cultures in the Washington, D.C. area and elsewhere. Discords editor Howard Wuelfing was an important early participant in the D.C. underground music scene, both as a musician (Slickee Boys, Nurses, Half Japanese) and as a fanzine creator (Descenes, Discords). This issue of Discords includes an interview with the New York art punk/funk band ESG.... It also includes writings from notable figures like Jim Testa (Jersey Beat fanzine), Gerard Cosloy (Conflict fanzine, Matador Records), and D.C. music journalist Mark Jenkins.
