Series 12, Sub-Series 2 contains recordings collected by and given to McGinnis on which he did not perform or conduct. Former students and colleagues who were composers or arrangers inscribed many recordings. Items of note include inscribed recordings of McGinnis's former clarinet student Richard Stoltzman and flute soloists Jim Walker and James Galway.
