College Band Directors National Association, 1941-1989
Acton E. Ostling, Jr. was an active member of the College Band Directors National Association, serving for eight years as Secretary-Treasurer. Materials in this series relate to his service for that organization. They include papers given at local and national conferences, correspondence relating to initiatives in which Ostling played an active role, and materials relevant to his work as Secretary-Treasurer of the organization.

Arrangement
Materials arrived to Special Collections in Performing Arts in a manner that reflected a purposeful organizational system. In order to represent Ostling's own preferences, original order has been maintained wherever possible, including in this series where the files reflect two different systems of organization--some are labeled by year and others are labeled according to topic.
