Series 3 consists of eight subseries which contain materials related to professional organizations of which Brandenburg was a member (subseries 1 and 2), published and unpublished writings by Brandenburg (subseries 3), information about ensembles and directors that Brandenburg followed (subseries 4, 6, and 7), music programs that Brandenburg taught with (subseries 5), and results of school music contests and competitions in the United States (subseries 8).
